My Life from the Beginning
My simple life began on its journey on May 4th, 1987. I was born at Mt. Kisco Medical Center in Westchester, New York. Even from a young age all I ever loved was to play and watch sports. When I was four years old I started playing baseball and continued to play all the way through high school. In high school, I played 3rd base, catcher and I was also a pitcher. My favorite position was pitcher, because all the pressure rested on my shoulders and I loved the spot light. This is why my favorite time to pitch was at the end of games to close them out. One of my favorite moments came when I got to close out the all-star game my freshman year of high school. It was one of the most exciting moments of my life and I will never forget the intensity of the situation. Although baseball is one of my favorite sports, my real passion is wrestling. I began wrestling in 6th grade and loved every minute of it. My greatest achievements came from wrestling in high school, where I was a 2-time all league selection and team MVP my senior year, but what I am most proud of was when I was inducted into my high schools wrestling hall of fame.
Moving Away From Home: The College Years
During my senior year of high school with all these great events happening to me in sports I was having to make one of the most exciting decisions of my life. I had to choose where I wanted to go to college. Although this decision was exciting, it was also one of the most nerve racking experiences, because I wanted to pick a place where I would have fun but also get a great education. One of the things I had on my side was that I knew what I wanted to do with my life, I wanted to be a physical therapist. When looking at some of the top physical therapy schools in the country I came across Ithaca College. I was also looking at Quinnipiac, Springfield, and Syracuse, all of which I actually got into not that I am trying to be stuck up or anything. What made Ithaca my first choice was the people. I could tell right away this was the place to be when I first started to talk to the people who went here. Everyone had a relaxed personality and that was something I wanted in a college. Growing up near the city I had been around pushy people all my life and I was ready to get away from that life style. After completing my first first couple of weeks here at IC, I quickly realized this was the place for me. I am now a sophmore here at Ithaca College and I am enjoying every minute of it!
