Shades Of Death Road
History of the Name
- A long time ago a bunch of migrants settled around Jenny Jump Lake, the lake located right next to Shades of Death Road. This road got its name because of its illegid past. The settles on this land fought with the native Indians of the area. The new settlers were mean, and belived that the Indians did not belong there. Each Indian that was caught was killed and thrown in Jenny Jump lake. This lake has a constant ring of fog that floats off of it, even on warm days. When the fog spills over onto Shades of Death Road, the dead Indians continue to try to get away from the settlers and can be seen in the fog.
- The street may have just been named "Shades" but becasue of the low lying trees that canvas the area, many murders happening on this road. The murders went unsolved, adding the "of Death" to the once pleasent name "Shades".
Happenings
- People have claimed to see ghosts walking across the road in the fog coming off of lake Jenny Jump. These people are believed to be the Indians that were killed durring the settlers rampage. A warning is advised for travelers on this road.
