iCAHP is a newly renovated student organization that actually began as the Health Policy & Management Association (HPMA) in 2002. HPMA was intended to unite students in the health policy major in educational settings, such as guest speaker events, fundraisers and conferences aside from regular meetings. Now this student-run organization strives to incorporate all students with a healthcare background including health policy, health care management, community health and health sciences.
iCAHP provides career services, information, and opportunities to those interested in health sciences, management, policy and administration. This is done through various community service projects, meetings with current healthcare professionals from around the are, and more.
iCAHP offers membership to all those who are either currently enrolled in Health Policy Studies, Health Care Management, and/or Health Sciences majors and minors or who are interested in the subjects. Ithaca College students must comprise at least 51% of the student organization’s membership.
