American Red Cross CPR, First Aid, AED, and Lifeguard certifications are current and up to date. Since I have these certifications, I feel confident that I am capable of helping others if emergency situations arise as well as capable of preventing certain situations before they even take place. I completed the USRowing Coaching Education Program, which makes me a Level 1 Certified rowing coach. This education program enhanced my knowledge in athlete safety; athlete learning such as growth, development, and social and psychological aspects; teaching athletes skills; how to improve boat speed on the water; how to train and condition athletes; as well as how to use tactics, strategies, and equipment as a coach. I now have the knowledge to implement a training program to have a successful team. Page maintained by Heather Reader (hreader1@ithaca.edu) |
