I was born on December 3rd, 1986 in Cortland, New York. When I was young my family moved around a bit but for the most part we stayed in DeRuyter, New York where my family still lives today. I have lived in the same house for 15 years.
I began playing baseball at a very young age. We would play at family picnics and during the summers my friends and I would get together almost every day and play backyard baseball, we used bicycles as backstops and broke quite a few windows in our career. I then went on and played Little League Baseball, Babe Ruth Baseball, and had a very successfull career playing varsity for the DeRuyter Rockets. As a team we won back to back league championships my junior and senior year. I also played 3 years for the Fabius Baseball Academy. I have stayed true to my New York roots and been a New York Yankee fan all my life.
I graduated from DeRuyter Central School as Valedictorian of the Class of 2005. I am currently a junior physical education major in the school of Health Sciences and Human Performance at Ithaca College.
After I graduate from Ithaca College I plan to attend Graduate school and study adapted physical education. I also plan to become a certified Special Olympics coach.
Some other futre plans of mine are to become a youth baseball coach and athletic director. One of my bigger aspirations is to some day own/operate a youth building or rec center where kids can go to get off the streets and enjoy themselves with different physical activities.
