Proof of Teaching Effectiveness
Collaboration and Outreach

Standard 7: Collaboration and Outreach

In order to be effective, teachers must foster positive relationships with a variety of target groups (e.g. students, families, colleagues, local community members, etc.) in order to promote and enhance the teaching and learning environment.

It is important for teachers to work with their colleagues for the benefit of their students. Also important, though sometimes harder to accomplish are working relationships with the local community and the families of students.

I understand the place for and importance of each of these relationships and how they can foster a positive learning environment. For that reason, I work to develop and maintain these types of relationships for the benefit of my students.
