Alternative Spring Break

"ASB is worth every moment. I was hesitant at first to spend my break doing service, but it was the best decision I've made in my life. I had a great time and made amazing friends."

-Brian Dashew, class of 2006

What is Alternative Spring Break?

Alternative Spring Break (ASB) is a volunteer opportunity co-sponsored by Peer Volunteer Corps and The Center for Student Leadership & Involvement unlike any other. Ithaca College students, faculty, and staff will travel around the country during their spring break in March to demonstrate their commitment to service. This program has expanded dramatically in the last three years because the experience is so rewarding that people keep coming back, with a brand new group of volunteers joining those who return every year!

What is the cost?

A $50 deposit is required for your application to be processed. Later, you will be asked to pay an additional $200. We recognize that this is a lot of money, but keep in mind that it pays for your travel, housing, food, and site fees for a week. Visit the CSLI website for more information regarding costs
